The Role
As a Supply Chain Application Lead, you will be responsible for leading a wide variety of cross-functional programs across supply chain, production planning, supplier and logistic engineering, in-plant material operation, inbound and outbound logistics, have the cross function application roadmap and architecture design skill, customer-oriented, proactive and keep close communication with responsible business units. In this role, you need to have a deep understanding of supply chain business, applications, lead the design and development of some of the most advanced and sophisticated systems in the world, with unparalleled agility and delivery excellence.
Responsibilities
• People management of the supply chain application team, including product team, developer team and support team.
• Manage the business IT demand, software engineering and application support for variant supply chain software.
• Resource management and project prioritization.
• Design the new functionalities in applications to support the growth of our supply chain business.
• Work with US counter parties to implement global rollout to China with ***** gap prioritized.
• Manage the implementation as program manager.
• Manage the daily operation of applications to meet application SLA.
• Manage cross-functional software programs from end-to-end.
• Develop and manage project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
• Work closely with engineering teams to effectively coordinate complex design inter-dependencies.
• Constantly work to evolve our processes towards increasing precision and dependability, while still maintaining the agility that has gotten Tesla to where we are now.
• Lead your teams with strength and confidence through rapid development cycles, changing requirements, and uncertainty.
Requirements
Must Qualifications
• BS in computer science or electrical engineering, MS preferred.
• 2+ years' IT application architect or lead engineer.
• 4+ years' IT application project delivery and operation experience in automotive supply chain domain. Solid understanding of supply chain challenges in automotive industry.
• 5+ years' product management experience managing consumer-facing software product development in Agile way.
• Experience managing end-to-end product deployment — from concept through development and successful launch.
• Prior software or systems engineering experience with proficiency in coding.
• Experience building, developing and managing highly effective program management tools and processes.
• Solid product sense with the ability to understand product architecture and as well as drive and criticize design decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in a highly cross-functionally environment.
• Excellent organization and delegation skills with ability to own the product roadmap and schedule with a track record of delivering projects on-time.
• Ability to inspire confidence in the executive team as well as the engineering project teams, as the face of your programs.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Fluent in English.
• Customer orientated, proactive and willing to take responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on knowledge in any type of leading Supply Chain, ERP products.
• Automotive or Supply Chain business know-how.
• Innovation mindset to always use technology to drive business.
