The Role Tesla’s Power Electronics group is looking for a skilled and motivated electrical engineer to design and develop hardware intended to be used in our automotive and energy storage products Responsibilities •Architecture, design, and development of high frequency magnetic components for power electronics converters. •Collaborate with power electronics and mechanical design engineers to develop low cost high efficiency inductors and transformers. •Start to finish ownership of magnetic components – from specification to design, prototype, testing and manufacturing. Required Skills •BSEE or higher degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE Preferred). •4 or more years of experience with magnetic component designs for power electronics converters. •Solid understanding of electro-magnetic theory, properties of magnetic materials and winding techniques for high frequency magnetic components. •Good understanding of thermal, mechanical and packaging challenges associated with magnetics for power converters. •Experience with core selection, winding design, conductor selection (Litz/Foil/Solid/PCB), loss modeling and loss characterization in inductors and transformers. •Familiarity with power converter and electro-magnetic circuit simulation tools (Maxwell, Ansys etc.). •Knowledge of UL and CE electrical safety requirements relevant to the design of magnetic components. Preferred Skills •Knowledge of high volume manufacturing technologies, production variances and design techniques for manufacturability. •Fundamental knowledge of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC) and switching waveforms. •Experience working with high voltage (up to 1000V) power electronics converters. •Knowledge of UL and CE electrical safety requirements relevant to the design of magnetic components. 其他信息 语言要求:不限
